I approach my work as a forum for discussion around human nature, ferocity, and our unwillingness to accept ourselves as animals. Through steel and leather I create forms which are both crude and refined, investigating the conflicts between brutality and empathy, suffering and desire. While exploring themes which both menace and seduce, I question the ethics of violence, natural materials, and the treatment of animals in Western society. |
